I put a box of cereal in the fridge yesterday and left the milk on the counter in the morning, left the keys to my motorino attached to the helmet case (luckily it wasn't stolen), fell asleep in the shower, and walked around the entire day like a zombie with puffy eyes.... Two words: With a mere 6 hour time difference (I am accustomed to at least 9 being from the west coast), I went from functional human being to completely useless for two straight days. How do frequent travelers like salespeople do this so often? Sunday was a 23 hour travel day that included a 8 hour layover at JFK from Orlando and I didn't sleep a wink. Flying coach is a nightmare. Monday I arrived at 9:00am local time and went straight to work. So no running for two days straight. Tuesday wasn't much better but I managed to sneak in a run last night at 7:00pm for 40 minutes. It was the first time in over 60 hours that I felt like myself. Some days you just have to fit it in. I was reeling over the fact that I couldn't, for any reason, run on Sunday and was too knackered on Monday. I did crunches in the airport out of stark boredom and with loads of carryon baggage, it would have been impossible to scuttle laps around the terminal. I would have killed for an airiport gym.
