It's difficult not typing '2007'.

Early morning run..this time 6:30..new run.  I've got thirty minutes to get to the coloseum and then back..Out the door...winding streets of Trastevere...across the Tiber, lights glistening on the smooth water.  Seems almost clean at this hour. Pristine even.  The only people out right now are laborours on their way to a job and street sweepers with antique brooms and bright orange jackets and trousers. I wind my way around. I don't know all of these streets but I know the general direction.  I'm disappointed every time I find my way back to a main artery so I try the smaller winding cobblestone streets.

And then there it is before me, turn a corner to find the icon for the city up ahead.  It lingers for some time...larger than life. It would be a shame to run around it without looking up once in a while...so i do. It's larger than one expects and held together by pins.

I make my way back...traffic is now starting to bustle.  Rome hasn't lost it's wonder although I enjoy it more without traffic.  Just another reason to get up at the crack of dawn!

Last night, 30 minutes around my area.. Broccoli, Tuna for dinner... It's not about dieting but about avoiding shit foods. Back to work :)
